Matthew 24:6 NKJV - "And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars.  See that you are not troubled, for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet."

Commentary:

I can remember being scared as a kid when I would hear of conflict in the world.  I was born shortly after the WW II and was a young child during the Korean War.  I remember even then there was the Arab/Israeli conflict and often the term Near East was used.  You'll laugh, but I thought, "I live in the EAST side of America.  How close is Near East to me?  Was it up in Boston?"  I lived in Connecticut and I thought if the conflict was that close how soon would it reach me?  LOL!

But, the idea of conflict was very real, and in my 69 years I've heard of a lot of "wars and rumors of wars"!  No, I'm not scared anymore, (unless the "bad guys" do land in Boston!)  But, all kidding aside, we're all too aware that this prophecy in our Daily Verse is being lived out in the generations that are alive today.  I hope that you are aware that God is in control of this world no matter what Satan and his forces try to do.  Psalm 115:3 says, "But our God is in heaven; He does whatever He pleases."  And He knows when the conflict on earth will reach the point at which time He will bring about the "end."

But note what Jesus also said, "See that you are not troubled."  Just like He said in John 14:1, 27; Philippians 4:6.  Don't be troubled or anxious.  This battle belongs to God.  Not that we won't be facing conflict, but the outcome belongs to our Savior.  And note the rest of the verse, too:  "...but the end is not yet."  I personally believe we haven't seen all the trouble that is described in Matthew 24.  We're only seeing the beginning.  I believe things will get a lot worse, but I truly am not troubled.  Our God is in control and He will remove us by way of the Rapture when it's just the right time.

But for the time being - take every opportunity to use to bring others to our Savior and encourage one another to live for Christ.  He IS coming again!
