Hebrews 10:24 NLT - "Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works."
Commentary: Over the last couple of days we looked at the caution Jesus gave regarding passing judgment on another believer. In today's Daily Verse we have a different course of action a believer should gladly take that doesn't seek to be offensive in any way. Instead of finding fault, try to find ways to encourage another believer to live a life of love that leads to a life of good and helpful works. A judgmental attitude encourages more judgmental attitudes. But, acts of love encourages good works. Think about that. You can work without love but you really can't love without work. In other words, when you really love someone you're thinking of how you can please them which usually involves doing something good for them. And when you encourage them to love one another as they should you automatically are encouraging them to practice good works towards those they love. What a neat thing to do!! Love someone enough to do something good for them. Teach them to love others enough to do something good for them. And teach them to pass this on to those they teach. How blessed our fellowships would be if we put this action to practice!
