Ephesians 3:17 NLT - "Then Christ will make His home in your hearts as you trust in Him.  Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong."

Commentary:

As you grow in strength in your "inner man" you will find yourself more and more "at home" with Christ and you will want to make Him "at home" in your life!  The phrase "abide in Him" used so often by the Apostle John means to let Christ be at home in your heart and be completely welcome in your life.  Too often Christians seem to have a distant relationship with Christ feeling He is "out there somewhere" but not enjoying His Presence in their everyday existence.  Paul knew by experience that Christ was working intimately in his life and he prayed that the believers would enjoy this in their own daily walk.
Paul also spoke about the roots of our faith would grow "down" into God's love.  Like a plant needs its root system to feed on the nutrients of the soil, so the Christian needs to feed deep on the resources God has provided because of His love, which is primarily His Word.  The obvious affect on our lives is to be made stronger to live for Christ and face whatever challenge comes before us.  Thank the Lord for His Spirit's work in our lives cultivating and even pruning our lives to be better able to enjoy all the blessings He wants to give us.
Invite Christ to be "at home" in your heart and let your faith grow deep into the soil of God's Word and feed on His love for your spiritual health.
