Our Ministry's Theme and Goal for 2019
Joyfully Experience the Presence of the Lord and Share His Love
with the World Around You
Welcome to the official website of the Mt. Ephraim Baptist Church, the first and oldest church in Mt. Ephraim, New Jersey. We are a fellowship of Christians who humbly seek to serve the Lord Jesus Christ, biblically centered, friendly, compassionate with a non-judgmental congregation. Our outreach includes Mt. Ephraim and neighboring communities as well as a global involvement through many local and foreign missionaries whom we support. If you are searching for a church we invite you to worship with us.
February 17 - 23, 2019
Click the "Bible Reading Plan" button to direct you to the passages each week to read. This plan is explained during the first week of reading.
(I hope to add a new "If" every couple of days. Access this site often).
Click WHAT IF? to read an exert from Amy Carmichael's book, IF. This is a deep devotional book from the hand and heart of a dear Christian servant who gave her life to reach out to the "forsaken and abused" children of the world. I leave no comment of my own. Let your heart "hear" the message of Amy's soul and ask the Holy Spirit to apply it's message to your own.
Special Prayer Requests
Prayer Requests and Praise items:
Pray for Ed Apgar, Ellen's brother, who faces some serious physical issues as he adjusts to life without his wife, Janet. He had a good report from the doctor on Monday.
Pray for Angelique's father who suffered a bad heart attack. He will be having surgery next Wednesday. Angelique sent him a "prayer for salvation" and asked him to pray it sincerely. Please pray the Spirit will convict him of his need to call on Christ!
Praise that Steve Cobb has been able to return to work doing light duty.
Praise that Randy Marshall was able to go back to work on Tuesday! Pray for his continued healing and stamina.
We need to pray more for our national and state leaders and also pray that Christians would realize that criticism of the government without praying for our leaders is disobedience - Jeremiah 29:7; 1 Timothy 2:1-4.
Pray for the funds to be raised for the Bible recently translated in the Philippines to be printed.
Praise that Chris and Amy Diedrichson were out to church recently and looking good. They are encouraged with God's leading and Chris has a full time job.
Pray for all of us to realize the powerful resources we have available from God for DAILY VICTORY!
Praise that all of us would give to reading God's Word everyday. May we remember that opening the Bible gives God the opportunity to speak to us!
Pray for several of our folks going through difficult times, physically and financially. Pray they will learn the value of TRUST in our loving Father!
Praise that John Abramovich, our missionary in Poland with his wife Dasia has improved in his health and is continuing his preaching ministry.
Pray for Holly Gaskill as she fights off a kidney infection. Pray for the safety of her baby.
Pray for Stan Gaskill who is weakening from his illness.
Praise that one of our families is starting a Bible lesson time in their home with their children besides regular Bible reading every day!
Pray for many, including yourself, to take part in the new Bible Reading Program for 2019. Pray for the Word to have a powerful impact on each life, including yours!
Praise that Pastor was able to have another good word of witness to his neighbor, Vince. Please pray that Vince will give his heart to the Lord.
Pray for all the people who have prayed to receive Christ as their Savior over the past couple of years. Pray for their desire to understand their salvation and to grow in their Christian faith.
Praise the Lord for His Word and His Spirit who enables us to understand the Scriptures and apply them to our lives.
Pray for the impact of our praying for our neighbors to be felt in their lives. Pray their hearts will be brought to conviction and that they will desire to know the Lord.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, Psalm 122:6.
Pray for more laborers to go into the harvest fields of the world, Matthew 9:38.
Ask the Lord "to lay some soul upon your heart," and lead you to love that soul for Christ's sake. Ask Him to help you to humbly do your part to win that soul for Him!"
