PRAYER THOUGHT:  "...that every mighty movement of the Spirit of God has had its source in the prayer chamber."

Acts 1:14a NKJV - "These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication..."

Commentary:

Do you want to see another "mighty movement of the Spirit of God" in our time?  Not to say that there aren't mighty movements ongoing all over the world, but what about in YOUR life or in MY life?  Are "mighty movements" only world-wide or region-wide occurrences?  Can they not be "church-wide" or "neighborhood-wide" or even in your workplace or school?  I believe great worldwide movements are certainly notable to us, but the smaller movements are no less notable to God!  And I believe God is looking for Christians who are ready and willing to see such a movement in the "world" they travel in.

Our Daily Verse is the prelude to the Day of Pentecost.  The disciples were gathered in the Upper Room to pray and they did so for 10 days.  Then you read what happened in Acts 2 with the result of over 3,000 people getting saved!  Acts 2:41.  How did this start?  Prayer and lots of it!  The disciples of Christ, more than just the 11, prayed together for God to move.  And Acts 2 shows that God moved!  And the rest of the book of Acts shows that the Church kept praying!

Can we see such events in our day?  Ask the people in many third-world countries where thousands and thousands of people are coming to Christ!  I believe with all my heart that God can do that here and He can do that now.  Do you agree?
If so, would you join me in prayer, continuous, persistent, fervent prayer?  This is not going to happen with "casual praying!"  It's going to take Christians to commune with their Savior, rejoice in His Presence, and then pour out their hearts for the lost in their "world."  God wants to save people, Titus 2:4, and He needs "laborers" to go into His harvest fields," Matt. 9:36-38.  And He's looking and listening for His people to pray that those who need to be saved will believe on Him, John 17:20.
