Daily Bible Reading for Week of February 11-17, 2018
The Bible reading for this week will bring you to the Resurrection of Christ in Matthew's account and then you will read in Mark of the beginning of Christ's earthly ministry! God allowed us to read the "life of Christ" four times over in the Gospels. It obviously was very important to Him and should be very important to us.
Mark's Gospel was written to the Roman people and emphasized Christ as the Servant of the Lord. You find Christ busy about His Father's work and you'll read some of your favorite stories, including the healing of the paralyzed man who was lowered through the roof into Jesus' presence!
In Leviticus you'll read of the menu God allowed the people to eat and the care He wanted to give them regarding disease. The word "leprosy" really refers to any number of contagious skin diseases. God wanted His people to see disease as a symbol of sin, not because every sickness comes because a person sins, but to show how we should treat sin in our lives. We want to get rid of it and separate ourselves from it.
