Insights on Today's Reading
Job 21 - Job sees the wicked having little trouble and then complains that it's their children who are made to suffer when the wicked themselves should be punished, vs. 19-21. Job 22 - Eliphaz tries two approaches: first, he asks if Job's righteousness makes any impression on God, vs. 1-4. Then, second, he makes accusations of Job's supposed sins, vs. 5-11. He basically is saying what Satan said that Job was only acting good because God was blessing him. Job 23 - Job is frustrated that he can't find God, but then he shows a marvelous degree of faith in knowing that he will benefit from his trials, vs. 10. He then speaks of the steps he has taken to follow God's path in spite of suffering, vs. 11-12.
