Insights on Today's Reading
Proverbs 16 - Praying your plans to God will allow you to gain His perspective and receive confidence in the way you should go, vs. 3. Get haughty and you'll stumble; be humble, and you'll not regret it, vs. 18,19. Note verse 25 repeats Proverbs 14:12. Gray hair on a godly person's head is a "crown of glory!" vs. 31. Proverbs 17 - When you're corrected don't regret it! Correction is education, vs. 9. A real friend is a friend at all times, vs. 17. Note verse 28: Even a "fool" who keeps his mouth shut is seen as "intelligent!" Proverbs 18 - Don't be so quick to offer an answer to a question that hasn't been fully asked, vs. 13. What you say can hurt someone or it can bring life to them, vs. 21. Husbands, note verse 22 and connect that thought with Proverbs 19:14.
