Matthew 21:10 NKJV - "And when He had come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, 'Who is this?'"
Commentary: It's great to read that when Jesus entered into Jerusalem the whole city was impacted! But that's the way it ought to be. When Jesus enters your life does He not change you completely? And don't others notice? When Jesus came riding into the city and so many people came together shouting the praises of God it caused quite a stir. "All the city was moved..." Everybody took notice that people were bringing praises to this One who was sitting on a donkey! "What's so special about this Man?" "Who is He, anyway?" Two things: First, should not our celebration of Jesus and our excitement for what He has done for us cause other people to "be moved?" Should they not wonder what's going on with you? I think many of you remember when you got saved or when you got right with the Lord, as it was in my case, that people noticed a change in your life. You didn't do the things you used to do. You found yourself not hanging out with the old crowd anymore. You had a new way of life that people may have ridiculed at first, as it was true for me, but then they began to respect what happened. Second, this "entrance of Jesus into your life" caused people to wonder, "Who is He?" They wanted to learn more about Him and how He could possibly give them a new life to live. This is part of the reason for praising the Lord. Your praise of Him points people to Christ! They begin to "search for Him," Jeremiah 29:13. And God promises that those who search for Him will find Him! So, this Palm Sunday, give Jesus plenty of praise!! Let others wonder why you're so excited and give them a reason to ask, "Who is He?" Be ready to show them Who He is!
