Ephesians 3:19 NLT - "May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God."
Like the "peace of God" which "exceeds anything we can understand" (Philippians 4:7), so the love of God is "too great to understand fully." We can experience both and we can enjoy the blessings of God's peace and love, but we'll never fully understand the complete knowledge of both! The love of God is given to us by the Holy Spirit, Romans 5:5. He is the One who loves through us and also floods our own hearts with God's love for us. Actually, you never really know how to love others until you experience the love of God for yourself! Remember, Jesus said to "love our neighbors as we love ourselves." (Matthew 22:39). And we can only love ourselves when we realize that God does!
Let's get to something which is dear to my own heart. Do you believe God really, personally, loves you? Can you come to Him in prayer and believe He loves you beyond your grandest imagination?! You see, a lot of Christians struggle with this. They just can't wrap their mind around the thought that God loves them better than anyone! Think of the sweetest love relationship you have in your life right now. God's love is sweeter! God's love is greater and God's love is even more personal, too! And God's love is so great that you will never understand it thoroughly! Enjoy the thought of knowing God loves you and is vitally interested in working in you as much as in any other believer.
