Romans 15:3 NLT - "For even Christ didn't live to please Himself..."
While we're on the topic of putting others ahead of ourselves, let's look at Christ's attitude in our Daily Verse. Have you ever noticed that when you do something that is a blessing to someone else you're the one who receives a blessing in return? It's like what Acts 20:35 tells us "...it is more blessed to give than to receive." Being ready for any opportunity to "do good" is a blessed kind of "being prepared." As has been stated over the last couple of days, when we put others first and seek their success we please the Lord. He wants that humility to be a real part of our lives. The day of "His honoring us" will come in God's good time. But just knowing that He is pleased with us should be honor enough.
