Exodus 2:25 NLT - "He looked down on the people of Israel and knew it was time to act."
One of the hardest lessons for Christians to learn is the lesson of "waiting on God." Our Daily Verse refers to God's complete awareness of the suffering Israel faced in Egypt. A suffering that had lasted 400 years! God knew all along how many suffered, bled, and even died due to their afflictions. Yet, He waited. And He waited until "He....knew it was time to act." We can't even begin to understand God's timing. He isn't worried or out-of-control with any situation. We panic. He doesn't. He knows when "all the pieces are in place;" when "everything is just right." As it says in Galatians 4:5 referring to the time when Jesus would be born, it happened "when the right time came." Exodus 3:7b says, "...Yes, I am aware of their suffering." He was also aware of His ultimate plan. It would not be rushed, but when the right time came, it would not be hindered.
