Ephesians 4:2 NLT - "Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other's faults because of your love."
What does a "worthy life" look like? Interesting that Paul starts off with the words, "humble and gentle". Does that not describe the earthly ministry and conduct of Jesus Christ amongst humanity? He came without fanfare. He didn't boast of His divine position. He didn't make people fall on their knees before Him, though certainly many did when they realized who He really was! He was gentle with so many people making them feel completely at ease in His presence. He was patient with everyone and He recognized the many faults of those He ministered to. Yet, He didn't condemn them for He hadn't come to condemn, but to save (John 3:17).
Obviously Paul is saying that a life lived like Christ certainly shows how much we value our salvation! Think about that. If you had to put a "price tag" on your salvation what would you say? It would be priceless to say the least! But if we were to show it in our lives how much we valued our salvation, how would we live? Well, what do you think Paul's answer would be? Live like Christ! Better yet, let Christ live in you!
