Ephesians 3:14,15 NLT - "When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth."
Commentary: Our Father is the Creator of everything. As you look at John 1:3 you see that God created everything through the Word, which is Christ Himself. And with Genesis 1:2 you note that the Spirit of God was "hovering over the waters" at creation. In other words, our Triune God created this universe in which we live. Paul directs his prayer to God, who in creation, showed His omnipotence and omniscience: His complete power with infinite intelligence. Who better to come to with concerns for the Body of Christ?! God is able to do anything for the Body, and that also includes every single individual believer. He also has infinite wisdom in designing the Church to be the perfect Body in which Christ would live on this earth. And He therefore has infinite wisdom to make you the believer He meant you to be. Paul prayed a lot! His life was not just active service day in and day out. He knew he needed strength and help from God for him to do all God wanted. He prayed because he felt the constant need for fellowship with His Creator and Redeemer. He prayed because he didn't want to rely on himself to work out God's plan for him. He prayed because he needed to! How about you?
