Exodus 33 - Even after the terrible failure of Israel God still repeats His promise of fulfilling His covenant to them. He does rebuke the people for their obstinate behavior. The people humbled themselves. Moses set up the Tabernacle outside the camp (more about this in chapter 40). Joshua shows his devotion to God in this chapter. Moses pleads with God to travel with His people and then Moses asks God that he might see His glory. God promises to do so and fulfills that promise in chapter 34.
Exodus 34 - God calls Moses to the mountain and it is at this time that He shows Moses His glory and then gives a personal description of Himself. This is one of those moments when God gives a little autobiography of Himself! God gives wonderful promises of victory in the Promised Land if the people would walk with Him, observe the yearly feasts, and present their required sacrifices to Him. As Moses came down from the mount his face glowed with the glory of God.
Exodus 35 - A reminder is given to keep the Sabbath Day. Moses calls on the people to give the necessary materials for constructing the Tabernacle and making the priestly garments. God calls for more people to help with the work. It's God's way of showing His people that everyone has a place in serving Him.
